National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC)
Advertising plans book design for the 2018 National Student Advertising Competition. Each year a corporate sponsor, in our case Ocean Spray, provides a case study detailing their product, history, and current real world marketing challenge. As a student, I worked with a team of over 30 of my peers for two semesters researching, strategizing, developing, and illustrating a marketing plans book in response to that case study. The final product was a completely integrated campaign for Ocean Spray, aimed at increasing the brand’s relevance with millennials.
As a lead designer I was responsible for the development of much of the aesthetic for the plans book, and for ensuring that all visual communication within was consistent with our brand’s identity and message. I worked across multiple groups and with many of my classmates to develop illustrated representations of research, copy, and marketing tactics, then worked with design team members to find creative design solutions to implement that information within the NSAC’s 21 page limit.
